Norma T. Palmer

Norma T. Palmer, 81, former resident of Buttonwood Village, Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at the Tidewell Hospice House of Port Charlotte, Fla.

She was most recently a resident of Royal Palm Retirement Center of Port Charlotte. Originally from the Cape Vincent/Thousand Islands, N.Y. area, Norma loved living near Charlotte Harbor, Fla., and appreciated the year-round sunshine, and especially sunsets. During her lifetime, Norma was an avid golfer, bowler, restaurant business owner, school bus driver, and served on several boards and committees. She also was an American Legion Auxiliary member of Post 832 of Cape Vincent for over 40 years.

Norma is survived by her children, John Todd of South Carolina, Dianne (Charles) Mosher of New York, Richard Todd of New York, Daniel (Donna) Todd of Florida, Michael Todd of Florida, Christine Tarnowski of New York; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Lester and Nancy Trainor; and sister-in-law, Shirley Trainor of New York. She is preceded in death by her parents, Byron and Jessie Trainor; husband, Robert Palmer; and brother, Howard Trainor.

At Norma’s request, there will be no calling hours or services. Please consider a donation to your local Hospice organization in her memory.

Arrangements are by ICS Cremation.
