PUNTA GORDA — A small experimental plane lost power and crashed Saturday afternoon at the Punta Gorda Airport, sending two of its three occupants to Charlotte Regional Medical Center with injuries, according to Charlotte County Fire/EMS spokeswoman Dee Hawkins-Garland.

Firefighters and medics responded to the crash at 12:45 p.m., she said.
