PUNTA GORDA — At its first meeting in the new year, the City Council on Wednesday will consider whether to initiate the annexation of the former Loop development site; will decide which of two groups will get to lease the city’s Bayfront Center; and will determine whether to approve a tattoo studio’s proposed window advertisement, even though it’s bigger than a code permits.

All those topics are on the agenda for the council’s 9 a.m. meeting at city hall.
