Make time to nourish your body

Once upon a time people used to prepare their meals at home and sit down to eat them at regular times daily. This also included packing a lunch-to-go for school or work. Fast forward: Despite all the state-of-the-art “time saving” devices, many people have given up cooking, and frequently outsource the task to frozen, overprocessed “convenience food,” to be popped into the oven for a few minutes; restaurants; fast-food joints; takeouts; or chain snacking instead of meals.

Our culture has become overwhelming and distracting, offering gazillions of TV cable channels, computer apps, social media possibilities, and horizonless cell phone chats at any time of the day or night. In between all of the above, we manage to fill what’s left of our time, with too many commitments. The results of such a lifestyle are obvious.
