PORT CHARLOTTE — Things finally seemed to be going the Charlotte Stone Crabs’ way Tuesday night. The team had the solid defense and clutch hitting it had missed through its five-game losing streak.
Even after a blown save erased Ryan Carpenter’s quality start and put Charlotte behind 5-4 in the ninth, the Stone Crabs rallied and sent the game to extra innings.
