Robert Michael Cool

Robert Michael Cool, 82, of North Port, Fla., and formerly of St. Louis, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013.

He was born Feb. 18, 1930, in St. Louis.

Robert was a Brewer with Anheuser-Busch for 41 years, and after retirement, he moved to North Port in 2004. He was active with the Sons of the AMVETS 312 in North Port, and was a Catholic by faith. He also served in the U.S. National Guard. Robert was a kind, generous, loving man, who will be missed by all the people he touched.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Carroll; children, Michael (Renee) Cool of St. Charles, Mo., Patrica Motz of St. Charles, Timothy Cool of St. Peters, Mo., Alan (Joanne) Vogel of St. Louis, and Diane (Dan) Kruse of St. Louis; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Anna Cool; and a son, Donald Vogel.

A Celebration of Life will be held in St. Louis at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice Inc., 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.

Arrangements are by Farley Funeral Home, North Port.
