Regina C. Brown
Regina C. Brown, 85, known to all her friends as “Jeannie,” passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, in North Port, Fla.
She was born Oct. 4, 1927, in Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of Thomas and Ida Coleman.
Regina lived, worked and raised a family in the Philadelphia area and Collegeville, Pa., until 1989, when she retired and moved to the La Casa Mobile Home Park in North Port. She enjoyed playing tennis, bridge and many other games with her many friends and neighbors. Jeannie had an insatiable zest for life, made friends instantly, and was beloved by all.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, William; daughters, Sandra West and Donna Galpin; sons, Thomas Brown and Daniel Brown; and grandchildren, Dennis Maher, Tanner West, Eric Brown, Zachary, Nicole, Scott and Adam Galpin, and Demetrio Iatella.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at San Pedro Catholic Church, 14380 Tamiami Trail, North Port. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice. You may express your condolences to the family at www.lemonbayfh.com.
