Elmer W. Kilcauley

Lt. Col. Elmer W. Kilcauley, 99, of North Port, Fla., and formerly of Bath, Maine, passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2012.

He was the son of James and Cora (nee Wiltse) Kilcauley of Rensselaer, N.Y.

Elmer retired from the U.S. Army after serving during World War II and the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He loved going square-dancing with his wife; enjoyed playing golf, boating and surfing the Net; and was an avid reader. Elmer was a ham operator for years.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 66 years, Lois; daughters, Karen (John) Thomas of Massachusetts, and Linda (Roger) Dellaire of Florida; grandchildren, Demian David and Jessica Flaherty, and William Nowosielski; great-grandchildren, Corey and Nikolas Nowosielski, Jasmine Irwin, and Cameron and Mira Flaherty; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Holiday Park in North Port. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice of North Port. To express condolences to the family, please visit www.Ltaylorfuneral.com and sign the online guestbook.
