Beware of scams exploiting Boston Marathon bombing
Literally minutes after the first report of two explosions at the Boston Marathon last Monday, 16 Boston-related website domain names were registered through Domains.com. Within four hours, there were more than 125, including several with words like “relief” or “help” in them.
“They could be used for fundraising efforts for the victims, so we need to watch those to make sure they are only used by licensed and regulated charities,” warned Domains editor Michael Berkens.
