PORT CHARLOTTE — A Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officer was arrested on allegations that he had sex with a 14-year-old girl, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.

John Michael Hoover, 37, of Port Charlotte, allegedly had sex with the girl on two occasions, once in his state-issued vehicle while he was on duty and another in an abandoned house.
