PUNTA GORDA — The City Council gave this city’s “Ring Around the City” bike and pedestrian trail network a fresh, clean name to give visitors a better idea of what and where it is. The new name: Punta Gorda Pathways.

However, city boosters may be trying to soap and scrub the old name out of the local lexicon for some time.
