No jail for woman charged with insurance fraud

SARASOTA COUNTY — A woman who reportedly scammed 262 clients out of more than $322,000 will see no jail time under a plea deal accepted by 12th Circuit Court Judge Rick Defuria Dec. 21.
Under the deal, Debra Kay Wanless, 56, will be under house arrest for a year, followed by 15 years’ probation.
