SARASOTA COUNTY — If you ask Sarasota County Area Transit general manager Glama Carter about the new audit released this week by Sarasota County that details flawed accounting issues within the organization, she’d call it “a snapshot of where we are.”

“It’s a snapshot so we can measure improvement over all of these things that need to be fixed,” said Carter, who started with the county in September. “And in reality, if I don’t know things are broken, I can’t fix them. I don’t see this as a negative — it’s certainly something that needs to be fixed and I’m ready to do it.”
