NORTH PORT — New Hope Community Church, at 5600 S. Biscayne Drive in North Port, will be serving a free community Thanksgiving meal from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 22. The church will offer free delivery of dinners between noon and 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving day to those who are unable to leave their homes. For meal delivery on Thanksgiving, call Tressa at 941-468-5034 by Nov. 21.

The church has also partnered with Publix supermarket at Price and Toledo Blade boulevards for the event. You can have your prescription filled at the supermarket’s pharmacy and receive a free turkey, or you can pay for a turkey and Publix will donate it to New Hope for Thanksgiving.
