The North Port Concert Band and conductor Dennis Silkebakken will present the next concert of the current season,“Saddle Up!” on Thursday evening. The concert begins at
7:30 p.m. at the North Port Performing Arts Center, 6400 W. Price Blvd., in North Port.

“Saddle Up!” is a complete western round-up with music from all your favorite western movies, light orchestral transcriptions and much more. Tenor soloist, Dave Downer, will perform Frank Sinatra’s famous “My Way” as salute to the west’s own, Las Vegas. Dave will be joined by the Andrews sisters, Kim Campos, Doreen Schnell and Ginny Lindeman in a special arrangement of Bing Crosby’s timeless classic “Don’t Fence Me In.”
