Charlotte Country Music Club (CCMC) welcomes the public to attend a jamboree on the third Sunday of every month from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Eagles Club #3296, 2311 Harborview Road, Port Charlotte. If you like to dance to good music, come and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon. Even if you don’t dance, the music just might get your toes tapping. Bring your friends and neighbors, too. Admission is $3 for members, and $5 for non-members.

The club was formed in the ‘70s, and the purpose was to showcase country bands that played for local clubs. Bands would rotate hosting responsibilities. It was not unusual to have five or six bands playing at one jamboree. At the end of the year, members voted for their favorite band, best vocalists and duets, and best newcomer. Awards were presented at the December banquet.
