The sport of BMX racing, short for Bicycle Motocross, has become such a popular sport that in 2008, it made its debut at the Beijing Summer Olympics. Combining the best of road, track and mountain bike events, it is an exciting sport that all ages can enjoy.
Since 1990, Charlotte County has had its own BMX track on Carmalita Street, tapping into the local and international notoriety of the sport.
