The Lake Wales Fury enjoyed a fabulous year.
The Team Fury U-l1 boys soccer team started off the 2012-2013 season red hot and kept up that pace for their entire season. The team amassed a record of 14-7-2 while scoring a total of 92 goals and yielding a mere 22 goa1s. The team used a opportunistic offense as wel1 as a tenacious defense enroute to that record. Other team highlights include winning the 2012 Fall Bazooka Tournament while
beating a Lakeland team that had never been beaten by another Polk County team (team Fury beat them twice), winning both their division as well as the reshuffle playing in the United Soccer Association Junior season, winning their bracket in the FYSA Region cup and as of this writing Team Fury has made it to the sweet sixteen in the Region cup where they hope to continue their winning ways. The success the Fury has enjoyed this season is due to the efforts and hard work of the Fury’s twelve players, Coach Jose Rojas and his staff, including the parents and fans of Team Fury known as The Fury Faithful. The future of Lake Wales Soccer Club and Team Fury looks very bright indeed.
