Lake Wales Police responded to a report of petit theft at JCPenney on March 1.

According to reports, the victim reported her wallet stolen while she was at JCPenney. She said she left her wallet on the counter near the shoe department while she was exchanging shoes. When she returned to the counter, her wallet was missing.
