A warrants round-up five days before Christmas yielded 20 arrests, according to a report from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

When members of the Polk County High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force, Lake Wales Police Department and Polk County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Drug Unit conducted a warrants round up Thursday, Dec. 20, as a result of a targeted initiative to investigate illegal street level drug sales in the area of Lake Wales, 20 people were arrested and two current Polk County Jail inmates were served warrants for additional charges.
