John A. Goodman, 60, of Lake Wales went to meet the Lord Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 15, 1952 to the late Alvin Goodman and Mary Goodman. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Wales. He worked at Mosaic as a Maintenance Mechanic for 25 years. His most important job was taking care of his kids and grandkids.

He loved making people laugh. If you came into contact with him, you never forgot him. He had the most loving and caring spirit. His favorite thing to do was to play pranks and aggravate his co-workers and friends. Not only did he love people, he also loved his animals. He had three pigs: Cletus, Clarabelle and Dolley. But the love of his life was his dog, Precious, and her puppy, Suzie.

Two things he lived for were his children and grandchildren, and the Flywheelers.

Johnny was preceded in death by his dad, Alvin Goodman; brothers-in-law, Roger and Tommy Wellman; sister-in-law, Gail Wellman; nephew, Aaron Wellman.

His survivors include his wife of 36 years, Brenda Lee Goodman; daughters, Stacie Johnson Panciello (Tom) of Daytona, Tracy Goodman Peacock of Lake Wales and Lydia Goodman of Lake Wales; grandchildren, Zachary Panciello of Daytona and twins, Abby and Brianna Peacock of Lake Wales; sisters, Kathy Reed (Boe) of Bushnell and Linda Keopke (James) of Orlando; brother, Jimmy Goodman (Helen) of Lake Wales; brothers-in-law, Joey Wellman (Shirley) of Bartow and Hiram Wellman Jr (Connie) of Miami; nieces, Angel Bowen (David) of Lake Wales, Christina Wellman of Lakeland, Valerie Wellman of Lake Wales and Karen Wellman of Lake Wales; nephews, Lee Goodman (Nichole) of Lake Wales and Joseph Wellman (Harriet) of Utah; and nine great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 and the funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family and the webcast of the service can be viewed at www.marionnelsonfuneralhome.com.

Marion Nelson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
