Evelyn G. Turner, 86, of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at the Life Care Center in Winter Haven.

She was born April 29, 1926, in Lake Wales to the late Arthur and Virginia Gilbert; she was a lifelong resident of the area.

She was a retired secretary for Citrus World and was an active member of the First Baptist Church. She was a past member of the Lake Wales Woman’s Club and a former member of the Christians Woman’s Club.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Sam E. Turner.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen T. and John Clarke of Winter Haven; son, Scott & Linda Turner of Winter Haven; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside service is 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
