Students are “wrapped up” with excitement about the Book Fair going on this week (Oct. 14-18) at Janie Howard Wilson Elementary. Students created a life-size mummy after learning the Book Fair theme of “Reading Oasis: A Cool Place to Discover Hot Books.”

“When I told students about the Book Fair theme, they made a connection with pyramids and mummies. They volunteered to make a mummy to display in the book fair. We borrowed the skeleton model from our science lab, and created the mummy using toilet paper, gauze and tape,” said their teacher, Sierra Gibbs.
