Mark your calendars now for the 9th Annual Smoke on the Water BBQ Competition. All proceeds benefit the Citrus Center Boys & Girls Clubs, (located in Lake Wales, Haines City and Winter Haven). “With the good help of the community, we overcame the vandalism to the electrical infrastructure from this past October and it’s just about show time,” says Frank Csomos, Citrus Center Boys and Girls Club’s Smoke on the Water BBQ Competition event chairman. Eighty of the best barbecue teams from around the country will gather at Winter Haven this Saturday, Feb. 2, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The event is open to the public.
