Boy Scout Troop 500 of Babson Park welcomes three new Eagle Scouts: Jacob Byrd, Jackson Reddick and Jordan Tipton. The local troop held the Court of Honor at the First Christian Church of Babson Park on Jan. 5, 2013. “All three boys worked hard to achieve this award and wanted to be honored together,” according to Lornarae Byrd.

When the troop began in February 2005, a time capsule was placed at Camp Flaming Arrow which was to be opened once they made Eagle Scout. An exciting part of the ceremony was the opening of the time capsule. The boys reminisced over old report cards, pictures, hurricane trackers, Super Gnat Certificates and life goal statements.
