The Lady Dragons of Lake Placid High School participated in the Heartland Conference tennis tournament Friday Feb. 22 and Saturday Feb. 23. The Lady Dragons was one of five teams that participated. The other teams represented Avon Park, Desoto, Hardee and Sebring high schools.

Hanna Waller competed in number one singles for the Lady Dragons. She won her match Friday night, but was defeated in the finals match Saturday. In the number two singles match, Stephanie Rodriguez won her match against Avon Park on Friday but fell to Sebring on Saturday, but she was also a finalist.
