The Lake Placid Panthers traveling softball team will hold a benefit tournament Saturday, March 2, to benefit Miracle Jones who has recently been diagnosed with Leukemia. The daughter of well-known girls’ softball coach Reginald “Reggie” Jones, Miracle will have treatment which will require frequent trips back and forth to St. Petersburg as well as expensive costs for doctors and medicines.

The Panthers will be playing against the Hardee “Tenacity,” the Arcadia “Shockers,” and a third team of local independent players. Additionally, the Panthers will be taking sponsorships for the amount of runs they score, the amount of hits during the games, how many strikes a pitcher can throw per inning, or just flat donations. Any donations are appreciated and will go towards helping Miracle and her family during this time.
