The Lake Placid Green Dragon baseball team, opening its 2013 campaign in a pre-season tournament in Lake Wales, dropping a pair of games, one to Lake Wales, the other to the Bartow Yellow Jackets.

“We just didn’t play very well,” said Green Dragon Coach Dan Coomes, although he hastened to add that several of his starters had not joined the team due to commitments to the basketball squad which played in its district tournament last week.
