Junior Achievement Highlands will host its fourth annual “Run Your Heart Out” Valentine’s 5K walk/run Saturday at Highlands Hammock State Park. The event is sponsored by MidFlorida Credit Union. The walk/run will start at 8 a.m. with registration opening at 7 a.m.

One of the goals this year is to get more student involvement. “We have coordinated with the Highlands County school board for a flyer to be sent home with every student to help raise awareness of the event and promote a family experience,” said Lily Romine, Executive Director of Junior Achievement. “There are very reasonable student and family rates available to accommodate everyone.”
