The Lake Placid Middle School Green Dragon boys’ basketball team came from behind to defeat the DeSoto Middle School Panthers, 18-17, in a game played in Arcadia Monday, Jan. 14.

DeSoto led the game throughout the first three quarters, going up, 7-3, in the first quarter, 13-11 in the second, and 17-15 in the third. A bit of sterling defense by the Dragons, however, held DeSoto scoreless in the final stanza while Lake Placid’s three-point offensive effort was enough to win the game.
