Sebring Middle edges LPMS girls, 32-31
The Lake Placid Middle School girls basketball team played a strong second half against Sebring Middle School Thursday evening, Jan. 24, in a game played here. The strong effort, however, was not quite enough to overcome Sebring’s lead and Lake Placid went down to a heartbreaker of a defeat, 32-31.
Sebring led off the first quarter with a 12-6 advantage. The Lady Dragons managed to close the gap to 3 points, 15-12, at the half. In the third period Lake Placid pulled to within a free throw of the Blue Streaks, 20-21, each team scored exactly 11 points in the final stanza to give the nod to Sebring.
