• South Florida State College will inaugurate its 2013 baseball season Friday, with Opening Ceremonies honoring Dr. and Mrs. Norman Stephens. Dr. Stephens, retiring President of SFSC, will throw out the first pitch. The ceremony begins at 12:45 p.m. and the public is cordially invited.

• The first annual Edge Cheer Golf Tournament will be held at Sun ‘N Lake Golf Club in Sebring Saturday, Feb. 2. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with golf starting at 8:30. The entry fee for a four-person team is $240 which includes golf cart, scorecards, drinking water and lunch for the team.
