Lake Placid’s striker forward Michelle Hunter bashed in the winning goal in overtime to lead the Lady Dragons to a 3-2 victory over the DeSoto Bulldogs and a secure berth in the Class 2A; District 10 girls’ soccer tournament finals to be played Friday, Jan. 18.

Fans at Roger Scarborough Memorial Field, where the entire tournament was played, were treated to an exciting soccer game Tuesday night, Jan. 15, as the Lady Green scored its epic win. Lake Placid junior, Stephanie Bennett, tallied first for the Lady Dragons, but the Bulldogs came back with two quick goals to take a 2-1 advantage in the first half.
