The Heartland Games for Active Adults 2013, hosted by the Community Education Department at South Florida State College, is set for March 1-31 at various venues across Highlands County. The registrations fee is $15 and the cost is $5 per event.

Events are held in bowling, golf, basketball, billiards, shuffleboard, pickleball, cycling, swimming, horseshoes, and tennis. Medals are awarded for first, second, and third place — male and female — in each sport and age category.
