DeSoto edges Green Dragons, 62-56
The Lake Placid Green Dragon boys’ varsity basketball team, playing one of its better games of the season, carried the DeSoto Bulldogs into a two-point game with fewer than two minutes on the clock before losing, 62-56. The game was played here at the Bill Ross Memorial Gymnasium Monday evening, Jan. 7.
“We showed ourselves as a much-improved team in this one, especially since DeSoto beat us by 30 or so points earlier in the season,” said Lake Placid Coach Jon Million. “Despite the loss, this was a pretty good game for us and we can gauge our improvement from this,” the coach added.
