Edward Malley, 91, passed away August 13, 2013, at his home in Lake Placid, Fla.
Originally from Cranston, R.I., he was born July 5, 1922. Mr. Malley retired as quality control manager of Speidel in Providence, R.I. He was a U.S. Marine, and World War II veteran.
Mr. Malley was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Ruby; parents William and Susan Malley; brother William; sister Mar; and great-granddaughter Lauren Ashley Stuart. Survivors include his children, Judiann Sutherlin, Edward Malley (Diane), Penny Spicer (Stephen), of Lake Placid; Susan Turenne (George) of Port St. Lucie; and Michael Malley of Miami; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Edna (Anthony) D’Antuono of Naples.
A celebration of life, for family and friends, will be Saturday, Sept. 7 at 2 p.m. at the home of Stephen and Penny Spicer. The family asks that memorials be sent to Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Rd., Sebring, FL 33870.
