Anna Patricia Budde. 95, of Lake Placid passed away Monday morning, Aug. 12, 2013 at the Lake Placid Health Care Center.
Born March 17, 1918, in Little Falls, N.J., to Anna and Lundy Westervelt Johnston, she received a bachelor of science degree in education in 1939 from the New Jersey State Teacher College. She taught students in the primary grades until retirement. Mrs. Budde moved to Lake Placid in April of 2006 from Carrollton, Ohio. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting, animals, her many pets and compiling her scrapbooks; and spending time with family and friends.
Mrs. Budde is survived by her husband of 58 years, Raymond; daughter Annabel Koch; grandchildren Harry Koch, Alison and Heather; many great-grandchildren; and niece Ruth McNelis.
A memorial talk to celebrate Mrs. Budde’s life will be given by Curtis Meekins on Saturday, Aug. 17 at the Lake Placid Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Inurnment will be at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Placid.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Scott Funeral Home, Lake Placid.
