LPMA helped build stronger downtown
The Lake Placid Merchants Association has died. The organization, created in 2003 to give small businesses a bigger voice, was dissolved recently by a vote of its members. Apathy was the cause of death.
The LPMA was a vibrant, active organization for much of its existence. During the early years, LPMA meetings would be packed with business leaders discussing ideas to promote downtown business, share marketing ideas, and plan and host community events.
