Tucked between Black Friday and Cyber Monday is a shopping holiday called “Small Business Saturday,” and we enthusiastically support the idea. After all, it’s small businesses that spark the economics of Lake Placid, Sebring and Avon Park.

Ironically, Small Business Saturday was created by a credit card giant. American Express Open — the company’s small business division – created the shopping holiday just a few years ago.
