The season for arts and fine crafts is upon us. Saturday will bring the Lake Placid Art League’s 26th annual Art and Fine Craft Show at the Bert J. Harris Jr. Agricultural Center near Sebring; and next weekend brings the 47th annual Lake Placid Arts and Crafts Country Fair.

Both are superb shows, packed with exhibits from some of the area’s very best artists and crafters. Both are organized, planned and staffed by volunteers. And both are unique in their own way.
