Lake Placid is taking advantage of its status as the Reader’s Digest choice as “Most Interesting Town In America 2013” with brand new signs installed Monday morning on U.S. 27 at the north and south boundaries of the town limits.

A delegation from the town and the Chamber of Commerce gathered to watch as the signs were erected. “Town of Lake Placid. Most interesting town 2013” is the message in bright white letters set against a blue background. The letters will illuminate when seen in vehicle headlights at night, too.
