The Placid Lakes Social Circle will meet Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the Placid Lakes Town Hall. Last minute details on the Bahamas Cruise will be on the agenda and name tags for the trip will be given out.

We’re looking for the residents of Placid Lakes who have been homeowners before 1989. If you are one, call 465-4888 and become part of a new group tracing the history of the subdivision and possibly creating a publication with the possible title “The Pioneers of Placid Lakes.” We have five families so far, one going back to 1972! Although we were not incorporated until 1978, this will count in our quest for information. Help us, as soon as we have a good “base” of ideas and workers, there will be a designated time set to get going with our project. This can be a a great “pick your brains” promotion, lots of fun, and something to think about. So far we have Barbara Moriarity, Edith Johnson, Charlie Hopfinger, Richard Koderhandt, and Dave and Olive Jackson. Keep those names coming in, we’ll start something in February.
