Easter Sunday boat parade
PHOTO PROVIDED
A boat parade that has become an Easter Sunday tradition will return this year on Lake Josephine. Hosted by Donny and Marie Keaney for the 14th year, the March 31 parade is open to any area residents with a boat or personal watercraft. Spectators are welcome to watch from the shoreline or one of three boat ramps along the parade route. Boats will gather at the opening of Lake Josephine at Josephine Creek at 4 p.m. The parade route will follow the shoreline around the lake and past three RV parks, concluding about 5 p.m. The Easter Bunny will ride on the lead boat, carrying a sign reminding "Jesus is the reason for the season." For more information contact Mr. or Mrs. Keaney at 863-991-5545.
