Five of six defendants in the murder of 20-year-old Aaron Doty of Sebring will be in court today (Wednesday) and Thursday for pretrial conferences that will determine if prosecutors and defense attorneys are ready for trial.

Kenneth Felipe, 19, and Jonathan Rodriguez, 22, both of 5504 Granada Blvd. in Sebring, stand accused of beating Doty at a pre-dawn party on June 9 at an apartment shared by Felipe and Rodriguez. Doty’s unconscious body was dragged outside. The duo then took what they believed was Doty’s dead body to a wooded area and set him on fire.
