The Caladium Arts and Crafts Cooperative in Lake Placid has named Donna Spaniola as artist/crafter of the month for February.

Spaniola lives in Royal Oak, Mich., during the summer months and spends the winter season in Okeechobee. She has been making crafts since she was a teenager. “I started with felt ornaments, tree skirts, dough ornaments, and counted cross stitch,” she said, “and one craft led to another.”
