A “Create Your Hero’s Journey” writing seminar will be Saturday, offered by the South Florida State College’s Community Education Department. The class will open at 9 a.m. on the SFSC Highlands Campus at Avon Park.

The Hero’s Journey is a method to tell any story: sci-fi, romances, children’s books, and memoirs. Writers will examine novels and popular movies to discover plot and character principles. The cost is $25.
