Mrs. Coury’s second-grade class from Lakeview Christian School in Lake Placid journeyed to Venus Friday to visit Ole South Auto Salvage for a field trip.

The class had been studying recycling and went to Ole South Auto Salvage to learn how automotive components are recycled. Upon arrival the children were shown a wrecked automobile and different parts of the car were explained and how the usable parts are sold and the unused parts are sent to a shredder company. The children were also shown the warehouse and outside areas where parts are stored.
