A powerpoint presentation “Then & Now” by James Deal will set the theme Saturday, Feb. 23 when the Historical Society of Avon Park hosts its annual banquet at the historic Hotel Jacaranda. A social hour will kick off the event at 6:30 p.m., with dinner at
7 p.m.

Deal, a Historical Society board member and museum volunteer, created the slide show that features historic and current photos of many of the Main Street area buildings in Avon Park, from the way they looked then to the way they look today.
