The band is in tune, the house is full, and Bishop Jakes is ready to give a message to a worldwide audience from the Dallas, Texas campus of Bishop TD Jakes’ Potter’s House. Hundreds rush to their seats. It is Sunday and it’s time for church at the multimillion dollar televised ministry.
More than 1,000 miles from the bustle of the Bishop Jakes’ ministry is a small complex located on 20 acres that is also called the Potter’s House. The Lake Placid Potter’s House has a different mission from that of Bishop Jakes; in fact, the Lake Placid Potter’s House doesn’t even have a web page.
