The Artists’ Group at South Florida State College is offering classes this spring. All classes will be in the TAG studio, located inside the Hotel Jacaranda at 13 E. Main St., Avon Park.

Oil Painting with instructor Nancy Adams will teach the essentials of painting with oils. The class covers the importance of composition and design, the unique properties of oil paint, principles for mixing colors, and techniques for applying paint. Students are able to select from a variety of subjects for painting. The class will be meet from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays from Feb. 4 through March 11.
